Greetings

Two sets of rules

I sometimes get the feeling that there are two sets of rules. There are rules for NT people. And then there are the rules for us who are on the spectrum. These rules are not the same, however. They seem to be completely different.

If an NT person does a particular thing (for example: sit on the counter) it's fine. But if someone on the spectrum (for example: me) does that exact same thing, it's wrong. Why is it okay for someone else to do it, but not me?

How can someone expect to feel included in a society when there are different rules for them??? And the rules don't even make sense. It just doesn't seem fair to me. It seems like they are saying "You are included, but not really."

If a rule applies to one person, it has to apply to everyone. It is that simple.
